worked til 5.
painted nails. did hair. headed to ems.
ate some popcorn and chilled.

then we got tiredddddd of waiting for nic and phil and people so we hit up DANU some latin place. everyone was spanish and dancing their butts off it was fantastic. one whiskey sour and some 40yearoldman hitting…

then it was onto the porch for some cigarettes and star gazing.

the stars were on fire tonight, glowing and flickering in the clear summer sky. 

it was the best  night for star gazing, perfect people, the perfect blanket, the perfect night. 

the stars were bright. the shadows danced on the houses surrounding the field. we laughed, we talked and sang twinkle twinkle little star every other word, shared between two people. 

the most beautiful evening i have in such a long time. it makes me thankful for life.

“something”

There is something that exists,
It exists because i can feel it.

This “something” feels like the sun’s rays, 
Pouring down from the sky on my upturned face.
The heat dances across my skin, 
and my body tingles from the warm sensation.

This “something” is the calm after the storm, 
As the rain drips like tear drops from heaven.
They fade to reveal crystal blue skies and birds in flight,
That soar to new destinations and find their new homes.

This “something” is the ocean’s great tides,
Rising and sinking with the moon.
Its waves paint the shore and deposit existance, 
and then recoil, exposing life that waits for the returning waters.
